What is Folgers Fest?
Established in 2024, Folgers Fest is an annual holiday 18+ fan fiction week open to all k-pop related fandoms.The theme of all submitted fanworks are inspired by Folgers Coffee's 2009 holiday advert, Coming Home, depicting a brother and sister reuniting for the Christmas holiday. Over a decade and a half later, the commercial's impact has inspired hundreds of thousands of parodies and fan fictions based on it.In short: Folgers Fest is a holiday incest fest.
Rules
Due to the mature nature of this fest, all participants must be aged 18 years or older.
All submissions must be a minimum of 1000 words and marked as complete at the time of submission.
All submissions must be set around the end of year holidays, which include but aren't limited to: Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule/Winter Solstice, New Years Eve/Day, etc.
All submissions must depict an incestuous relationship between characters connected by a familial tie (i.e.: brother/brother; stepparent/stepchild; cousin/cousin; aunt/niece; godparent/godchild; adopted siblings; etc.)
All fic ratings are accepted (re: explicit sexual content is not required), but do note all submissions are required to revolve around incest which will make all submissions inherently mature.
Readers are responsible for reading all tags before proceeding to read any fics in this fest.
Authors are expected to tag accordingly to the themes of their story.
Works written or edited with generative AI tools will not be accepted and will be rejected from the collection.

Okay, great, now that that's out of the way....
Do you only accept fan fic submissions?For now, Folgers Fest is only accepting fan fiction submissions hosted on Archive of Our Own (AO3) in the Folgers Fest 2025 collection.
How do I join?There are no sign-ups or applications to participate in this event. We only ask for you to submit your work to the collection during the submission period (November 30—December 20, 2025).
When will my fic be published?Submissions will be posted in the order received between the dates December 21, 2025—January 1, 2026. The mods will do their best to share postings somewhat evenly to give everyone time to read before author reveals on January 5, 2026.
Can my published work stay anonymous after author reveals?Yes! In order to keep your work anonymous after the author reveals on Monday, January 5, 2026, your submitted work must also be submitted to a separate collection that keeps the artwork anonymous. We kindly ask authors to do this in the off chance an author changes their mind and does not have to rely on a Folgers Fest moderator to reveal their work in the distant future.
Can I write a chaptered fic?Yes, we do ask submissions have a minimum of 1000 words and are marked as complete at the time of submission!
Can I get an extension?Please send a DM on Twitter or Bluesky as soon as you know you need more time! Submissions will not be accepted after January 1, 2026.

Folgers Fest does not have an anonymous questions account and will not be answering anonymous queries publicly.
